The Swell is our little four-unit surf lodge in downtown Oceanside, renovated and designed by us down to the last pillow. Three of the units are available to guests. Each is a separate rental with its own kitchen and bathroom. Unit One takes short stays, and Units Two and Three take stays of 31 nights or more. All three share a sunny patio with a hot tub, fire table and grill. Mornings start with coffee on Mission Avenue, afternoons end on The Strand, and nights end back on the patio.

How many units are at The Swell?
The Swell is a four-unit lodge, and three of the units are available to rent. Each one is completely separate, with its own full kitchen and bathroom. The patio, hot tub, fire table, grill and laundry room are shared.
What is the minimum stay?
Unit One has a 2-night minimum, so it works for beach weekends and vacations. Units Two and Three have a 31-night minimum and are set up for monthly stays.
How do monthly stays work?
Send a booking request with your dates for Unit Two or Three. We send you a quick rental application, and once your application is approved, we accept your booking and send your lease to sign. Then you move in.
How far is the beach?
The pier and beach are about a 15 to 20 minute walk. Mission Avenue, with restaurants and coffee shops, is two blocks away.
Is there parking?
Yes. The Swell has its own private parking lot on site for guests.
Is The Swell good for remote work?
Yes. Every unit has 1,000 Mbps Wi-Fi, and Units Two and Three each have a dedicated desk.
Is The Swell secure?
Yes. The shared patio is on the first floor and fully secure, with a locking gate.
Are pets allowed?
No, The Swell is not pet friendly. Service animals are always welcome.
Is there air conditioning?
Every unit has a mini split for heat and A/C, and the bedrooms have fans.
