Is the cabin decorated for Christmas?
Yes! From late November through mid-January, Dark Moon Chalet is fully decorated for the holidays — a lit tree, stockings, garland, and cozy fires. It's one of the most festive cozy holiday cabins in Southern California, and holiday dates book up early.
How many guests can stay?
Up to 10, across 3 bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen, 4 twin bunks) plus a queen sofa bed — and 2.5 bathrooms.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes — dogs only, up to 2, with beds and bowls provided. A non-refundable $150 pet fee applies.
Is there a minimum stay?
Minimum-night requirements vary by season and holidays — the exact minimum for your dates appears in the live calendar the moment you select them above.
What's the cancellation policy?
Moderate: a full refund if you cancel at least 30 days before check-in, a 50% refund if you cancel 14–30 days before, and no refund within 14 days of check-in. (The 3% card processing fee is non-refundable.)
Who can book?
The primary guest must be at least 25 years old and present for the entire stay. Third-party bookings aren't permitted — reservations can't be made on behalf of someone else.
Can I protect my trip with travel insurance?
Yes — we work with a third-party travel insurance provider. Just let us know and we'll send you the details after your booking is confirmed, so you can protect your reservation.
